Triumph has unveiled their brand-new, triple-powered, middleweight sports bike for 2024. The Daytona 660 delivers thrilling sports performance, a dynamic ride, and the best quality, capability, and specifications in its class.

2024 TRIUMPH Daytona 660 Engine

Triumph’s legendary and distinctive 660cc triple engine has undergone a significant development, and the Daytona 660 now produces a peak power of 95PS and a peak torque of 69Nm. The right amount of low-down torque, mid-range, and top-end power is provided by its linear, responsive, and smooth delivery. The Daytona 660 has 17% more power and 9% more torque than the Trident. It also has a completely new exhaust system that gives it a unique sports sound.

High-end parts like the Showa preload-adjustable monoshock RSU and upside-down big piston 41mm forks enable the Daytona 660’s simple, agile sports handling and perfectly balanced chassis to combine with comfortable all-day riding.

The new Power 6 tyres from Michelin are matched with radial four piston brakes featuring twin 310mm discs and braided brake lines.

The Daytona 660 is loaded with rider-focused technology to ensure riders always feel in complete control. It has three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Rain) that optimize throttle response and traction control settings for the conditions, as well as a new Emergency Deceleration Warning system that activates the hazard lights to alert other road users during heavy braking. The iconic Daytona design DNA has been reinterpreted with a new attitude, resulting in an aggressive new stance and clean lines.

A central air intake is incorporated into the distinctive twin LED headlights, and the minimal bodywork highlights the athletic profile before ending with a contoured LED tail light. Three eye-catching colour options are offered, each with a graphic inspired by the ‘660’ race.

The fact that the Daytona has over thirty Genuine Triumph Accessories to personalize comfort, style, performance, and utility shouldn’t come as a surprise to Triumph owners. Among these add-ons is an A2 licence kit with a specific throttle twist grip and an engine tune limited to 35kW.Triumph has the lowest cost of ownership in the class thanks to its strong residual values, two-year unlimited mileage warranty, and 10,000-mile service interval.

Thrilling sporting accomplishments The Daytona triple offers 95PS at 11,250 rpm and a hair-raising 12,650 rpm redline. It is the ideal blend of low-down torque, exhilarating top-end, and unmatched character. At just 3,125 rpm, over 80% of its 69 Nm of peak torque is available, providing responsive, sporty, and extremely useable performance.

The engine produces a distinctive triple soundtrack by combining the free-revving top end performance of an inline four with the low-down torque and tractability of a twin. This sound is further enhanced by the new exhaust, which consists of compact underslung silencer with stainless steel finisher and three into one headers.

Triumph’s Torque Assist clutch ensures a progressive, light lever action with a span optimised clutch lever for improved reach, and the smooth six-speed gearbox delivers power with ease. Additionally, the clutch design enhances rear wheel control during severe deceleration, enabling a smooth and secure corner entry. With Triumph’s Shift Assist accessory, shifting up and down is quick and easy without requiring a clutch, making commuting even more convenient.

A Triumph dealer can easily fit an accessory fit conversion kit, which allows compliance with a replacement throttle grip and unique engine tune, for riders starting their Daytona ride with an A2 licence. The kit can also be easily returned to standard.

Years of race-winning chassis development have resulted in the new Daytona 660’s lightweight sports frame, premium Showa 41mm upside down, big-piston front forks, and Showa rear suspension unit, which all work together to provide a smooth and agile ride. Another feature of the rear suspension that facilitates quick setup adjustments is preload adjustment.

The new, highly-specification Michelin Power 6 tires are installed as standard equipment to provide safe driving performance in both dry and wet weather. Cast aluminum wheels with five spokes are lightweight and have a low rotating mass, which improves handling responsiveness and suspension efficiency. Twin four-piston radial callipers, mated to lightweight 310mm discs and fed by braided lines, give the Daytona 660 outstanding stopping power and braking feel. Furthermore, a Continental ABS modulator is included.

Technology on the Daytona 660 improves both safety and riding pleasure.Three riding modes are available with the ride-by-wire throttle: Sport, Road, and Rain. It also provides a clean and accurate throttle response. Sport mode provides the most reactive throttle response for aggressive road rides or track sessions. Each mode offers a different throttle response and level of traction control intervention. For riders who would rather have no electronic interference at all, they can also disable the traction control system via the instrument menu.

The multipurpose instruments have an LCD display that is black on white with an integrated colour TFT screen. All of the rider information is cleanly displayed, small, and easy to read in a variety of lighting situations.

This stylish device can be used with the My Triumph Connectivity System accessory, which allows for phone and music connectivity in addition to turn-by-turn navigation. For convenience of use while riding, every function is readily visible on the TFT screen and controlled by the switchgear.
